Description
Airlie House is a traditional Kerry residence located in the town of Castlegregory on the Dingle peninsula in West Kerry. Airlie House has four bedrooms - 3 doubles and 1 twin which are all fully equipped. There are also two bathrooms upstairs, one with an electric shower and the other with a bath. On the ground floor there is a comfortable living room with a beautiful open fire and a separate dining room also with an open fire. The kitchen is fully fitted out with all modern conveniences and there is secure parking at the rear of the house together with large front and rear walled gardens which include a patio area. Airlie House is a 5 minute walk away from the nearest beach. It is also within a couple of minutes walk from all the shops, pubs and restaurants in the village.
Location
The house is located 20 minutes drive from Tralee town where a wide range of activities are available for the tourist, e.g. national folk theatre, omniplex cinema, Aquadome, steam locomotive and many more. The house is situated 14 miles along the Dingle Peninsula from Tralee which stretches for some 48km westward from Tralee town. The Dingle Peninsula has more interesting antiquities, historic sites and varied mountain scenery than any other part of Ireland. Airlie House is an ideal retreat for golfers with the renowned Castlegregory Golf Club on its doorstep; the walking enthusiast, with miles of white sandy beaches and beautiful forests and mountain walks nearby. It is also ideal for the surfing and diving holiday with the Jamie Knox Windsurfing and Surfing School which offers one to one tuition and also offers kids and teens clubs with dinghy sailing, surfing, wetsuit hire, etc and is supervised by qualified staff.
How To Get Here
From Tralee travel on the N86 also signposted 'An Daingean' for approximately 10 miles passing through 'Blennerville'. Veer right at fork on road at 'Camp'. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you arrive at the turn off (right) for Castlegregory (sign posted and note grotto on corner). Take turn for Castlegregory Village and continue through the village passing the 'Spar' Supermarket on right hand side. You will reach a junction that is signposted for 'Kilshannig' (turning right but staying on the left). Almost immediately you will see Airlie House on your left hand side with a lane way leading to large iron gates at the rear of the property.
